Music has been a constant in my life long before I ever pointed a camera at a stage. I play guitar — badly, and with great enthusiasm — which means I have an enormous amount of respect for the people who do it well. That respect is what drew me into Portland's blues and guitar music scenes, and what has kept me there. I've made genuine friendships in this community.

The work itself has become one of my favorite creative challenges. I run multicamera video setups, shoot still photography, and pull the live mix straight from the soundboard so the audio matches the visuals. I care about this work the same way the artists care about their performances. Whether it's an open mic night at a neighborhood bar or a headlining set at The Alberta Abbey or The Jack London Revue, it all deserves to be documented well.

I'm pursuing an MBA because I'm ready to operate at a different level. My experience has given me a strong foundation in marketing execution and strategy, but I want the tools, the training, and the network to grow into a leadership role where I'm shaping how organizations think about brand, communication, and growth. What I've learned along the way is that creative storytelling and business performance are not competing priorities. When the strategy is right, they reinforce each other. I want to get better at building that case and executing at the level where it matters.
