There is no creative challenge I have found more rewarding than documenting live music. The room is dark, the energy is unpredictable, and you get one shot to capture something real. As a Portland-based live music videographer and photographer, I have built a process that takes that chaos seriously — running up to four cameras simultaneously to make sure nothing worth keeping gets missed.

The technical side is only half of it. Every artist has a sound, a mood, and an identity, and the edit has to honor that. From the pacing of the cuts to the color grade on the footage, every decision is made with one question in mind: does this feel like the artist? The goal is always to deliver photos and videos that musicians are genuinely proud to share, whether that means a polished multi-camera concert video or a set of performance photos that capture the feeling of being in the room.
